Our Team

Prima’s Choice Africa is led by a passionate and dedicated team committed to promoting human rights, dignity, inclusion, and sustainable development for young adults and other marginalized communities. Our leadership brings together expertise in community organizing, programme management, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy, and organizational development to ensure that our work remains community-driven and impactful.

Executive Director

Tukakira Muhammad is a Ugandan human rights defender and community leader dedicated to promoting equality, dignity, and social justice for marginalized communities. As the Executive Director of Prima’s Choice Africa, he provides strategic leadership and works closely with the youth, sex workers, and other vulnerable populations to improve access to protection, healthcare, psychosocial support, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. He is passionate about empowering communities, advancing human rights, and creating safe spaces where everyone can live with dignity, free from discrimination. His vision is to build stronger, more inclusive communities through compassion, collaboration, and grassroots leadership.

Deputy Executive Director

Kainerugaba Samuel supports the strategic leadership and day-to-day operations of Prima’s Choice Africa. He works closely with the Executive Director to strengthen organizational systems, coordinate programmes, foster partnerships, and ensure effective implementation of community interventions. Samuel is committed to advancing the rights, wellbeing, and empowerment of young adults through collaborative leadership and community engagement.

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Byamukama Habib leads the organization’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning functions. He is responsible for tracking programme performance, measuring impact, strengthening data quality, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. His work ensures that Prima’s Choice Africa continuously improves its programmes and demonstrates meaningful outcomes for the communities it serves.

Programs Director

Sserugo Daniel serves as the Programs Director at Prima’s Choice Africa, where he leads the planning, implementation, and coordination of the organization’s programmes and community initiatives. He is passionate about promoting human rights, social justice, and improving the wellbeing of young adults, marginalized individuals and communities.

In his role, Daniel works closely with community members, partners, and stakeholders to design and implement impactful programmes focused on health, protection, economic empowerment, advocacy, and community development. He is committed to strengthening community-led solutions, building strategic partnerships, and advancing equality, dignity, and inclusive development across Uganda.

Finance and Operations Officer

Kasanya Abdushakulu oversees the finance and operations functions at Prima’s Choice Africa, ensuring the organization’s financial resources, administrative systems, and operational processes effectively support programme implementation. He plays a key role in strengthening organizational accountability, efficiency, and sustainability.

A dedicated community leader and human rights advocate, Kasanya is passionate about promoting equality, inclusion, and the wellbeing of marginalized communities. Through his work, he supports community development initiatives, promotes access to essential services, and contributes to empowering vulnerable individuals to live with dignity, safety, and opportunity.

Secretary & Office Administrator (She/Her)

Mimi K. Williams serves as the Secretary and Office Administrator at Prima’s Choice Africa. She supports the organization’s governance, administration, and day-to-day operations while contributing to effective programme coordination and community engagement. Her work helps strengthen the organization’s ability to deliver quality services and advance its mission.

She is a Ugandan human rights defender committed to promoting equality, inclusion, and the wellbeing of young persons, sex workers, and other marginalized communities. She is passionate about creating safe and inclusive spaces where everyone can live free from discrimination, violence, and stigma, while advocating for equal rights, dignity, and social justice throughout Uganda.

Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Officer

Mutebi Evad is a dedicated therapist at Prima’s Choice Africa, where he provides mental health and psychosocial support to vulnerable and marginalized communities. He is committed to creating safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces where individuals can address emotional challenges, build resilience, and improve their overall well-being.

With a compassionate and client-centered approach, Mutebi supports community members through individual counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health education. He works closely with peer educators and community outreach teams to ensure that survivors of violence, discrimination, and other forms of trauma have access to quality psychosocial care and appropriate referrals.

At Prima’s Choice Africa, Mutebi plays a key role in promoting mental wellness, strengthening community resilience, and empowering individuals to lead healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
